Prof. Dr. Sinan Şen has served as the Chairperson and Full Professor of the Department of Orthodontics at Kiel University, Germany, since 2021. He studied dentistry at the University of Heidelberg, earning his doctorate with “summa cum laude” in 2015 and completing his orthodontic specialization in 2016. He has received numerous scientific grants and accolades from prestigious organizations and conferences. His department has won the Teaching Award for Outstanding Teaching in the Orthodontic Treatment Course in both 2021 and 2024. Dr. Şen’s research focuses on molecular mechanisms of tooth movement, demineralization prophylaxis, and dental imaging, while his clinical interests include interdisciplinary orthodontics, risk-oriented treatments, and innovative digital technologies in orthodontic care.
