Dr. Dong-Seok Sohn is a Professor in the Department of Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Daegu Catholic University in Korea. He is the founding president of both the World Academy of Ultrasonic Piezoelectric Bone Surgery (WAUPS) and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) Korea, and he previously served as the Asia-Pacific Section president of ICOI. Dr. Sohn is known for developing the Hydrodynamic Piezoelectric Internal Sinus Elevation (HPISE) technique and is a pioneer in the application of ultrasonic piezoelectric bone surgery in implant dentistry. He is an internationally recognized lecturer and has authored numerous scientific papers and contributed to multiple textbooks in his field.
