Since 1986, He has been a faculty member at the Clinic for Conservative Dentistry and Periodontology at the same institution. He earned a doctoral thesis in 1989 and engaged in significant research projects at the Minnesota Research Center for Biomaterials and Biomechanics from 1993 to 1996.
